It was the biggest #MeToo case in Germany. A whole series of women had accused director Dieter Wedel (“The Great Bellheim”, “King of St. Pauli”) in 2018 of having threatened to force them to have sex. They told of encounters in the hotel, with a director with whom they wanted to audition for a role and who then received them in a bathrobe and suddenly attacked them. They told of harassment on location when they opposed him. the publication in time magazine led to the fall of a TV legend who was the number one TV hit in the 1970s and 1980s.
