It’s not April Fool’s Day, even if the news makes you smile. Not necessarily known for its tropical climate, the city of Brest was crushed by the heat on Thursday.
According to the Météo Bretagne website, the thermometer read 26.8 ° C at 3 p.m., making the city of Ponant the hottest city in France and even in Europe on Thursday… “Never had such a value been reached so early in the year on the town of Finistère, ”says meteorologist Steven Tual on his Twitter account.

Like everywhere in France, the weather has been nice and warm since the start of the week in Brittany. Tuesday, records of sweetness fell by the dozen in the region with in particular 25 ° C in Perros-Guirec or 24.1 ° C in Lannion or Rennes. If the sun will still be there, the temperatures will however start to drop from Friday. And the weather will change radically from Monday for Easter with conditions that promise to be wintry with sleet, rain and even snow. Maximum temperatures will only reach 6 to 9 ° C.
