Wirtschaftsjunioren Günzburg celebrate entry in the register of associations

After an extraordinary general meeting, the business juniors in Günzburg dare to register as a club. Who are the founding members.

On December 3rd, 1984, young entrepreneurs from the district of Günzburg met for the first time at the invitation of the IHK. At the BWF company in Offingen, they founded a “Junior group of the Günzburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce”. The then 21 juniors followed the invitation of Mr. Bernd Felgentreff, then IHK Günzburg and Dr. Stefan Offermann, then managing partner of the BWF and vice president of the IHK.

This is how the Wirtschaftsjunioren Günzburg came into being

After a tour of the company, Felgentreff discussed the objectives of the junior group. From his point of view, this consists in intensifying the exchange of ideas and experiences among young managers in the regional economy. The management team at that time for the organization and the next meetings were joined by Dr. Offermann, Messrs. Walz, Fischer, Sedlmeier, Hutter, Wanzl and Betz. This is how an active group of young entrepreneurs and executives from the various economic sectors in the Günzburg region came into being.

The most recent general meeting sets the course for the future

After 38 years, it was decided at an extraordinary general meeting on October 27th, 2022 to enter the Wirtschaftsjunioren Günzburg in the register of associations. In the course of this, a new association statute was adopted and the previous board members were confirmed in office. With around 10,000 members, the Wirtschaftsjunioren Günzburg is the largest association of young businesses in Germany and also has a large international network.

Who founded the association

The founding members of the now registered association include Ferdinand Birzele (Chairman), Alexander Kübel (1st Deputy Chairman), Nina Kappler (2nd Deputy Chairman), Verena Kollmann (Treasurer), Andre Schipp, Tony Rausch, Eva Heißwolf, Vanessa Binder and Benedict Kaltenecker. In this way, the Günzburg Business Juniors want to continue to work to ensure that Germany remains a reliable member of the world community.
