Wirecard trial: Bellenhaus comes out of custody – Economy

Oliver Bellenhaus, the defendant and the prosecutors’ most important witness in the Wirecard trial, is to be released from custody under conditions after more than three and a half years. This is confirmed by a spokesman for the Munich I Regional Court.

Bellenhaus has been sitting in the dock for a little over a year, wrestling with his former boss Markus Braun over the authority to interpret the economic scandal. Braun remains in custody. Bellenhaus could possibly be released this Tuesday. The trial will continue to be heard on Wednesday and Thursday.
