Aschheim, Dubai, Manila – no question, Franz Haider got around back then, in early 2020. He would have gone to Singapore, but they didn’t want to receive him there. Haider was on the road on behalf of the Wirecard Group. He and his colleagues from the auditing company KPMG were supposed to find out what was wrong with the allegations made against the then Dax group: that its supposedly successful business was possibly only invented and investors and creditors could have been deceived. But Wirecard’s supposed partners stonewalled.
