Wirecard: Canoeing with consequences – economy

A canoe trip on the side arms of the Danube, at least that is what the advertising for such tours through the shimmering green floodplains promises, will not be forgotten anytime soon. Huge pastures on the bank, the trunks so thick that you can’t hug them, wild nature, calm water. The excursions to Vienna’s local recreation area are popular, companies book them for their employees – all in one boat, team building and so on. In the broadest sense, the Austrian Ministry of the Interior is also a company, a political one, but with many cogs in the big gears. On July 10, 2017, the agency’s employees even needed two canoes to go on a long journey in the small boats after a tour of the Tulln garden. The then Interior Minister Wolfgang Sobotka had invited, and the assistants were also allowed to come. “A fun tour with friends,” promises the prospectus.
