Beijing Olympic champion Laura Nolte also has the European Championship title with her third World Cup victory this winter Brought two-man bobsleigh.

The woman from Winterberg won in Sigulda, Latvia, with her Gladbeck pusher Neele Schuten, 0.29 seconds ahead of world champion Kim Kalicki, who won the race on Friday. This time, Kalicki from Wiesbaden rode with Anabel Galander from Magdeburg.

Monobob European champion Lisa Buckwitz from BRC Thuringia was in third place with Vanessa Mark (Eintracht Frankfurt) after the first run, but was pushed to fourth place by the Swiss duo Melanie Hasler and Mara Morell after a mistake in turn 14.

“I’m really, really happy, it was a really tiring week. I’m glad that it finally clicked on the track here,” said Nolte. Even Kalicki, who doesn’t like the track at all, said after first and second place: “We can be satisfied, but I’m also happy that we’re through now.”

The race was stopped twice after Australians Breeana Walker and Kiara Reddingius and Americans Kaysha Love and Emily Renna crashed.
