Beijing Olympic champion Laura Nolte won the German championship title in the two-man bobsleigh on her home track in Winterberg. With pusher Neele Schuten, she won ahead of the duo Maureen Zimmer/Lauryn Siebert and Charlotte Candrix/Cynthia Kwofie.

“We’re happy about the title. The excitement before a German championship isn’t quite as high, but you still want to present yourself and show what you’re capable of,” said Nolte, whose World Cup start in Beijing was canceled.

The first World Cup stop will therefore only be from December 4th to 10th in La Plagne, France. On Saturday, Nolte also won the monobob ahead of Maureen Zimmer and Lisa Buckwitz. Nolte, Buckwitz and Kim Kalicki have already been nominated for the World Cup.

In the men’s event, World Cup starter Francesco Friedrich and Johannes Lochner Adam Ammour took the two-man bobsleigh victory in the absence. With his brother Issam as the pusher, he won ahead of Max Illmann/Costa Laurenz and Christoph Hafer/Matthias Sommer in third place.

Adam Ammour was also ahead in the four-man bobsleigh. Hafer came second ahead of Nico Semmler. “We can now go into the next elimination round in Altenberg with a clear conscience,” said Adam Ammour.
