Painting creative window pictures: This is how chalk pens work

With chalk markers you can easily conjure up beautiful decorations on the window. The pens are popular because they are easy to wipe off and therefore require little work. There are no limits to creativity; you can paint freehand or use practical templates. The latter are good for families with children, because the little ones can simply color in the templates and various works of art are created.
This is how chalk pens work
Chalk pens are ideal for painting on smooth surfaces, as the chalk can only be easily wiped off with a damp cloth or even a dry sponge. There is liquid chalk inside chalk pens, so you need to shake the markers well before using.
Chalk pens in colored or white
The classic ones Chalk pens are white and look like a felt-tip pen. They can be used to create well-detailed images and fonts. There is also colorful chalk markersin different colors such as blue, green, yellow or red. There are also chalk pens with a round tip and a beveled tip. Depending on whether you want to paint or write with the pens, you can create lines of different thicknesses or thinness. The same applies to the thickness of the line, because there are pens with different line widths. The right choice of chalk pencils therefore depends on the application.
Free hand or with a stencil?
You can use the chalk marks to paint freehand or use stencils from the internet or template books. The latter offer the advantage that there is a large selection of different motifs and the template sheets are already ready for use without having to be printed out and cut to size. Templates are available on every topic imaginable, from animals to seasonal motifs such as Easter and Christmas to fairy tales.
Tips for painting with chalk pens on the window
- Tip 1: Before using, shake the chalk stick well and pump it downwards on a piece of paper. Do this until the paint fills the tip.
- Tip 2: To avoid accidentally wiping away the chalk motifs, you should start at the top. If you are right-handed, start at the top left and if you are left-handed, start at the top right.
- Tip 3: If you want to avoid grease stains on the window, it’s worth wearing gloves.
- Tip 4: Keep a lint-free cloth and glass cleaner handy while painting so you can easily correct small mistakes.
How do you get rid of chalk pencils?
You can simply wipe chalk markers off the window with a damp cloth. This can often even be done with a dry cloth, but you will achieve the most thorough results if you use water or a glass cleaner.
