The Chancellor doesn’t take a joke when it comes to wind turbines. Olaf Scholz wanted to tackle their expansion “as a general staff” last year, with the goal of four to five wind turbines on land per day. All possible regulations have been relaxed, the states have set expansion targets, and nature conservation has to take a back seat. And in the first year after the Chancellor’s statement, it is now clear that the direction is right, but the goal is far away. Maybe even too distant for now.
