Just two days before the coronation of King Charles III. (74) on May 6, his eldest son and his wife were still attending public meetings in London. Prince William (40) and Princess Kate (41) first took the subway and then went to a pub.

The Royals bring their “sheep to dry land”

How among other things the British “Daily Mail” reports, Kate and William boarded at Acton Main Line station. On the “Elizabeth Line”, named after the late Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022), the royal couple went three stops to Tottenham Court Road.

Accordingly, Kate spoke to employees about the upcoming major royal event and the multi-day celebrations. “Yes, it will be a busy time,” she said. She also spoke about the extensive preparations – progress is being made and trying to get “everything dry”.

It was the first trip for the two on the “Elizabeth Line” since it opened in May 2022. At the age of 96, the Queen had surprisingly visited London’s Paddington Station to inspect the completed project. She was accompanied by her youngest son, Prince Edward (59).

So Kate and William went to a pub

After the short drive, William and Kate continued on foot to the nearby The Dog And Duck pub. There, the two not only expected pints, but also further discussions with employees and numerous onlookers. Impressions of the Royal appointment the couple posted on their Instagram account.

There the prince and princess also explain the reason for their visit. They want to thank all employees from the hospitality industry and public transport. The employees will probably have to work a lot of overtime in the coming days, as thousands of visitors from all over the world are expected to attend Charles’s coronation.
