The shortage of teachers has been an ongoing issue in Bavaria for years. The school ministers did speak before Anna Stolz Teacher shortage so far, they have never been able to ensure supplies at the start of the school year. Now it is up to the Free Voters Minister to get the issue under control. Things have been particularly tight at primary and middle schools for years. Accordingly, a recent study by the Bertelsmann Foundation came as a surprise, predicting a surplus of primary school teachers in Germany.
