Why the Atlantic current could determine the future of humanity – knowledge

There’s something coming our way. This week, Dutch climate researchers commented on their own work with a sentence that was rather unusually succinct for scientists: Unfortunately, one has to deliver “bad news for the climate system and humanity”: In a study, published in the specialist journal Science Advances, a team investigated Climate researcher René van Westen from Utrecht University an important one – if not the most important – ocean currents for Europe. We are talking about the so-called Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC).
