Things are getting serious now, but not just for the left. When Sahra Wagenknecht presents her plans to found her own party in Berlin this Monday, it will be a big issue for her current party, but also for her competition on the far right: the AfD. Wagenknecht wants to present her association “Alliance Sahra Wagenknecht – For Reason and Justice”, which is considered a preliminary step to founding a Wagenknecht party. If things turn out as expected, Wagenknecht should appeal to many left-wing voters, but also a significant number of AfD supporters.
