Why Prince Harry is named in a sexual assault complaint against P. Diddy

The name of the youngest son of King Charles III was allegedly used by the hip hop star to legitimize parties taking place against a backdrop of sex trafficking according to a complaint filed last week in New York.

Prince Harry’s name is cited in a sexual assault complaint targeting rapper P. Diddy, Anglo-Saxon media report. The producer would have used the name of the youngest son of King Charles III to bring “a form of credibility to his parties which took place against a backdrop of sex trafficking”, according to The Telegraph.

Rodney Jones, a producer, accused P. Diddy of multiple sexual assaults. He mentions in his complaint, a 73-page document filed last month in New York, that people attending or sponsoring these parties could meet “international dignitaries such as Prince Harry.”

The Duke of Sussex is named only once in this document – and the mention of his name does not suggest that he was aware of or even involved in the facts with which P. Diddy is accused. According to The Telegraph, Harry only met the rapper once and never attended his parties.

“He’s such a cool guy.”

The two men met on July 1, 2007. A photo, published in the British press, shows them posing with Kanye West after a concert organized at Wembley Stadium, in London, in honor of Diana for what would have been his 46th birthday.

P. Diddy mentioned Harry again in a 2012 interview with The Sun: “I can’t wait to come back to the UK. London is one of my favorite cities. I hope I get to hang out with Prince Harry. He’s such a cool guy and it’s time we party together.”

Residences belonging to P. Diddy were searched Monday March 26 by federal agents in the United States. These searches take place at a time when the rapper is in the midst of legal turmoil, facing several complaints relating to facts dating back several decades, some of them.

“Deviant demands”

In mid-November, Diddy’s former partner, R&B singer Cassie, was the first to file a civil complaint for rape and physical violence against the rapper. Two days later, they announced an “amicable” agreement, the details of which were not disclosed.

The singer’s complaint accused the rap star of having engaged in “violent behavior” and “deviant demands” for “more than a decade.” She explained that she had been beaten repeatedly and forced to have filmed sex with male prostitutes.

Since then, two other women have filed complaints, including one, openly, accusing him of having “drugged and sexually assaulted” her in 1992, at the time when the rapper was called “Puff Daddy”. In December, he was also the target of a civil complaint in New York accusing him of gang rape of a 17-year-old minor in 2003.
