Why Jewish people don’t feel safe in Germany – Culture

After a day in which the state demonstrated particular determination in the fight against anti-Semitism with searches and seizures, it is worth asking this question: How can it actually be that Jews in this country cannot live in safety? don’t dare to wear a kippah in public, wear the jersey of the Jewish gymnastics and sports association or send their children to school in the past few weeks? How can it be that her fear has never gone away and that this unbearable condition has persisted since the late 1950s? At that time, the Jewish communities discussed whether the return to Germany, which had just begun, had not been a terrible mistake in view of the mass graffiti at synagogues and Jewish cemeteries. Not much has improved since then. Too much has gotten worse, especially since the Hamas massacres on October 7th.
