A candidate caused astonishment at the moderator, as the broadcaster reveals in advance: Thomas Müller (46) takes a seat on the quiz chair and says that he has applied to the popular show for no less than 21 years. “And it never worked?” Asks the moderator. The presumption of the candidate: It is because he listens to the same name as the German soccer star Thomas Müller (32).

However, Jauch did not want to leave it that way and quickly asked the other candidates about the number of their applications. After it became clear that almost all of them had only applied once, Thomas Müller finally asked himself: “What did I do wrong, Mr. Jauch?” The moderator simply replies: “That’s a good question.”
