Who were Kylian and Cédric, the two young people who were fatally broke on a scooter in the Var this weekend?

Two days after the accident that claimed the lives of two men aged 25 and 27 who were riding an electric scooter between Saint-Tropez and Gassin, we know more about the circumstances of the tragedy. But also on the profile of the driver who fled, before being caught by the gendarmes, a man already condemned.

For those who knew the victims, seasonal workers, it is dismay.

Kylian, soon to be 26, was employed at La Pesquière, a restaurant in the La Ponche district of Saint-Tropez, appreciated for its breathtaking view of the sea and its fresh fish. For the third consecutive year, he worked as a waiter.

“He worked very well, was nice, funny, everyone loved him”evoke his employers, in shock. “He always had a smile, he was a great person”they add.

Aged 25 and 27

Originally from Sens-de-Bretagne, near Rennes, the young man was about to celebrate his 26th birthday.

“He was soon to celebrate his birthday, May 17. He was just waiting to see the bravado, which had been canceled the last two years he was there”.

Kylian had met Cédric during a winter season.

Aged 27, the latter was from Robecq, in Pas-de-Calais, where he had obtained a BTS, tourism sector.

Cédric had arrived two days before

In previous years, Cédric had worked as a chef de rang in several Saint-Tropez establishments.

Arrived only last Thursday on the Côte d’Azur, he was to start working for the Kaja restaurant, Bouillabaisse district, at the entrance of the village.

Kylian had introduced his friend Cédric to the employees of the Pesquière. “We think very strongly of the two families”confide the bosses.

The restaurant team, very united, intends to organize a release of balloons, below the establishment, in the coming days, in order to pay tribute to them.

Kylian should be buried on Wednesday in his native region.
