Does that count as doping? Candidate Sarah Wieding fought in “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” initially with nervousness. But then she got a schnapps that really got her going.

Her big appearance on the RTL guessing show “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” would have been over early by a hair: the candidate Sarah Wieding stumbled on Monday evening with the 300 euro question. It was a simple figure of speech that she was asked to complete if she wished: “If you want to let something go, you don’t want to, as it were…?”. The answer options were A: stir, B: knead, C: mix or D: shake.

But the student was stuck. Luckily Günther Jauch jumped to her side. When the moderator noticed that the candidate was nervously sipping the glass of water, he made her an unconventional offer: “Do you need something stronger to drink?” He asked, and promised her a schnapps.

“Who wants to be a millionaire?”: Günther Jauch jokes about the “booster”

The visibly nervous Berliner gratefully accepted the help – and the plum water actually loosened her tongue and got the brain cells going. From then on, things went much better for the Berliner: Wieding answered question after question and quickly came up with 32,000 euros. She was also able to complete this task with the help of the telephone joker. Jauch couldn’t help but joke about the effective “booster” that brought the young woman so far.

In fact, the candidate was able to answer the next question and finally went home with 64,000 euros. One of the things she wants to use the money for is a diving license. But it’s not that expensive: there should be a lot left over. One or the other schnapps should also be included in the future.

“Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” runs on Mondays at 8:15 p.m. on RTL. “You can also stream the episodes on RTL+
