The World Health Organization WHO, together with the Deutsche Telekom subsidiary T-Systems, wants to develop a solution for checking electronic vaccination certificates across national borders. After the corona pandemic, this should serve as a standard procedure for other vaccinations such as polio or yellow fever. The World Health Organization wants to support its 194 member states in building trust networks and testing technology, which would then be part of future vaccination campaigns and patient records. T-Systems has experience in this field: together with the software group SAP, the company developed the Corona warning app, which has already been downloaded more than 42 million times. In addition, both companies have launched a solution on behalf of the European Commission that can be used to verify vaccination certificates.
