“When did you reach potato status?” – Media

At the Open Society Forum at the Leipzig Book Fair, communication scientist Nadia Zaboura and journalist Vivian Perković (3sat-Kulturzeit) will talk about how the media reflect, take into account and think along with the various perspectives of the immigration society.

How do newspapers, radio and online formats contribute to coexistence in a culturally diverse society? Do they adequately reflect the perspectives and concerns of people with a migration background? How has the media landscape developed in this regard? And what responsibility do journalists have when they report on New Year’s Eve riots, racism or the fasting month of Ramadan?

“quoted. the media podcast” is a cooperation between the CIVIS Media Foundation for Integration and Cultural Diversity in Europe and the Süddeutsche Zeitung, funded by the Mercator Foundation. The next episode will be released on May 25, 2023.
