Planning in WhatsApp group chats can be tedious and exhausting. A new feature aims to change that. Messenger introduced polls.
Who has time when or where do you want to go at the weekend? Questions like this have probably resulted in endlessly long chat histories in WhatsApp group chats for many people. But that should be the end of it now. Because there is a new function of the messenger. Users now have the ability to create polls.
WhatsApp for iOS version 22.23.76 has been available for a few days. The update is intended to fix bugs. But on many devices it also brings the survey function with it. The latest WhatsApp update for Android should also contain this function. But apparently it is still not available to all Android users computer picture.
Create WhatsApp polls: How it works
If you want to create a survey on WhatsApp, you must first open the corresponding group chat in which the survey is to be made. There you tap on the plus symbol (on iPhones) or on the paper clip (on Android devices) and select “Survey”.
You can then enter the question and possible answers in the appropriate fields. A maximum of twelve answers are possible. You can also change the order of the answers afterwards using the three lines to the right of an answer. To do this, hold down the button and move the answer. Once the poll is complete, you can send it to the group chat using the arrow.
Each group member then has the opportunity to vote. Any number of possible answers can be selected. You can display the current result via “View votes”.
