What we know about the death of a woman pushed onto the tracks of the RER B in Paris

The 52-year-old woman was voluntarily pushed by the suspect, arrested a few hours later in Vitry-sur-Seine.

This Friday, at 9:30 a.m., a 52-year-old woman was “thrown onto the tracks” of the Cité-Universitaire station, according to the Paris prosecutor’s office. If she was able to get up, she was not able to avoid a train which hit her fatally.

The woman of Algerian nationality would have been pushed “without apparent reason”. The suspect, who had already committed similar acts, was arrested a few hours later and placed in police custody.

This Friday, July 14, a 52-year-old woman of Algerian nationality was pushed onto the tracks of the Cité-Universitaire station of the RER B in Paris. Dressed in a hijab, she was pushed “for no apparent reason” by an individual who fled by tram before the arrival of the police and help.

In October 2011, he was taken into police custody for pushing a 25-year-old man onto the tracks at Strasbourg-Saint-Denis station.
