Experts are appalled by the increasing extent of youth violence, which was most recently evident in Munich. The police and prosecutors now want to take tougher action and offer more preventive measures.

The issue of youth violence occupies the authorities – on many levels. For example, the two young people who are currently in custody because of the abuse of two girls in June should possibly be included in a program for young offenders. The Munich police are checking whether the two are eligible for the “ProPER” program (person-oriented investigations and research).
