What reverse recruiting is all about – economics

The energy service provider Octopus Energy advertises jobs with meaning. The betting provider Tipico wants to score points with free employee tickets for the Allianz Arena and the start-up Scalable ends the lecture with the announcement that they have currently advertised more than 53 developer jobs. At the “Pitch Club Developer Edition – Software Developer” event, the roles in the application process are reversed. It’s not the applicant who has to present their best side, but rather the company. In six minutes, companies have to break down, i.e. pitch, why developers should be interested in their company. HR professionals refer to this approach as “reverse recruiting”. But why is this needed?
