Since this Thursday morning, a funny gorilla head has been displayed on the building facade of the Capitol, gazing at the people of Toulouse who stroll on the famous Pink City. Far from being an illegal happening,
the appearance of “Kong” on the scaffolding was even greeted by the mayor himself,
Jean-Luc Moudenc.

“The Capitol is fortunate enough to host, this morning and for a few days only, the work of Loïc Leclerc,“ Kong ”. This gorilla, serene and protective, watching over the scaffolding of the City Hall works, will be visible to all Toulouse residents, ”explains the first city councilor in a tweet.

This is not the first time that the inhabitants of the city have been able to come across this stencil. Made on a tarpaulin 2 meters by 2.10 meters, this gorilla head appeared at the start of the year at the top of the tall buildings in Toulouse. The artist’s goal in these gloomy times is “to give a little smiles and (…) arouse curiosity and create a story about the journeys of” Kong “”.

After a first incursion on January 21 near the Catalan Bridge, “Kong” found its place on the facades under construction of the Pink City, even making forays into other cities in the South West.
