What is the social net amount, this new line on your payslip?

In July 2023, a new line should appear on your payslip. Indeed, employees will find the mention “net social amount” on their reports. Even if reading payslips is not always the easiest, this new section is supposed to make life easier, especially for recipients.

“The net social amount is the net income after deduction of all compulsory social contributions and as such constitutes a common reference for all employees, regardless of their status, branch or company”, explains the Ministry of Labour, Full Employment and Integration on its official website.

Concretely, this corresponds to gross sums from compensation and replacement income (salaries, bonuses, overtime, benefits in kind, etc.) that employers pay to their employees.

A new line to simplify procedures

This is therefore the end of the calculations and potential mistakes on arrival. The presence of this new line will make it possible to inform directly with the CAF these revenues and thus facilitate the procedures for access certain aidssuch as the RSA or the activity bonus.

“They will only have to declare the cumulative net social amounts that will have been transmitted to them”, indicates the site of the Ministry of Labor. If employees will no longer have to do the calculations from this month of July, employers and social organizations will have to communicate the net social amounts to the CAF, from 2024, for each income paid. “Recipients will therefore be able to go on mesdroitssociaux.fr to consult the total amount of their social net income”, specifies the site.
