What does the autopsy of the high school student found dead in the courtyard of his establishment reveal?

On September 29 in the early morning, personnel from the catering department of the International Center of Valbonne, near Antibes (Alpes-Maritimes), discovered the lifeless body of a 15-year-old high school student at the foot of one of the buildings of this public institution. His death, which had left the entire educational community in shock, was due to a fall.

But was it accidental? Voluntary ? Or even due to the intervention of another person? “No hypothesis as to the circumstances of the death is ruled out”, indicated the same day the parquet floor of Grasse. To find out more, an autopsy was performed. And its results were communicated this Thursday morning.

“No suspicious lesions”

The conclusions of the medical examiner confirm in any case that a “polytrauma” is “at the origin of death” and that it is “compatible with the data collected, i.e. a fall from a high point”, notes the prosecution of Grasse. The public prosecutor also indicates that “no suspicious lesion was found” during the examination of the body. “At this stage of the investigations, there is no evidence of the intervention of a third party in the death of the young man”, he specifies.

Toxicological and anatomopathological samples were also taken. But their results are not yet known, according to the prosecution.
