Chimpanzees and even bumblebees can learn and teach things so complex that they would never have thought of it themselves. Is there nothing that only humans can really do?
Animals usually don’t go to the theater and have no interest in literature. Nevertheless, many of them maintain some kind of culture. A chimpanzee family in Zambia, for example, has gotten into the habit of sticking a blade of grass in their ear and walking around all day with this ear ornament. Other chimpanzees that live nearby don’t do this.
