What are the 14 places to vote for?



They are there ! One can imagine the relief of the 14 places registered for the final of Favorite monument of the French 2021 on France 3. This year, the competition was extremely tough as 42 monuments were shortlisted, ie three per region. After a first vote, it is time to choose which place will be the most beautiful, the largest and the most elegant to represent our heritage.

List of monuments in each region

In the northern part of the country, we find the Château de Falaise in Calvados, the Caillebotte property in Essonne, the Château de Pierrefonds in the Oise, the Place Stanislas in Nancy in Meurthe-et-Moselle, the Pont-Canal de Briare in Loiret, the Towers of La Rochelle in Charente-Maritime, the passage Pommeraye in Nantes in the Loire-Atlantique, the ramparts of Saint-Malo in Ille-et-Vilaine and the Hôtel-Dieu de Beaune in Côte- Golden.

The southern part, for its part, is a little less represented. The railway rotunda of Chambéry in Savoy, the Citadel of Bonifacio and the Roy d’Aragon staircase in southern Corsica, the Pont du Gard and the Ancient Theater of Orange in the Vaucluse are participating in the competition. Finally, the Jardin de Balata in Fort-de-France in Martinique completes the list.

The public now has all the cards in hand. Just surrender on the official competition website until July 22 to vote and elect the monument that touches you the most. The winner will be revealed in the program presented by Stéphane Bern at the start of the school year on France 3, on the occasion of the 38th edition of the European Heritage Days.
