Wertingen:Geocaching ends in the clinic

A man was seriously injured while geocaching in a forest near Wertingen (Dillingen an der Donau). According to the police, the 54-year-old was looking for a clue on a tree six meters high. To get to it, he pulled himself up the tree with a climbing rope on Sunday. He fell from a height of three meters. Rescue workers took him to the hospital in a helicopter. In geocaching you try to find hidden objects or clues in unknown terrain. The approximate location is limited by puzzles or coordinates. Searchers use their cell phone or GPS device to find the destination. Everyone can search for geocaches or hide their own.
