Werder Bremen scores against Nuremberg: Niclas Füllkrug strong – grade 2!

Jiri Pavlenka: The first ball on his goal was right in, Pavlenka couldn’t prevent it. An awkward defense against the fist was of no consequence. Overall, without a big moment, because the dangerous balls all whizzed past the gate. Grade 3.5

Milos Veljkovic: On the right in the chain of three he was not to blame, not even that the room behind him was completely vacant at 0: 1. Marco Friedl: Central man in the defense. Defended well, secured well. The Austrian saw an unnecessary yellow card – and because it was his fifth, he has to watch after the international break against Schalke 04. Note 3

Mitchell Weiser (up to 63rd): Replaced the ailing Agu in the starting line-up and acted on the right wing either as right winger or right defender – and not always happy defensively. Left far too much space before Dovedan scored 0: 1. Grade 4.5

Manuel Mbom: Another dedicated one Appearance of the U21 national player. Missed Bremen’s second top chance after a quarter of an hour and had no luck with a shot in the 73rd minute. Note 3

Nicolai Rapp (up to 45th): Played together with Mbom centrally in front of Sechser Gruev. One can say benevolently that he moved around the rooms well; viewed critically, he gave the Bremen game far too little. However, there was a lack of pressure and precision in their own deals (42nd / 54th). Grade 3.5

Marvin Ducksch: He could have given the game a green-white direction early on. Nuremberg keeper Mathenia directed his shot to the crossbar (10th). Hardly made a stab for a long time after his big chance. Reported back in the second half and was unlucky with the free kick on the post (71.). Note 3

Continue to the previous message: Bremen – No, a great success story is the late loan of Mitchell Weiser from Bayer Leverkusen to SV Werder Bremen not yet. After a good start with a goal in the 3-0 win in Ingolstadt and a total of five games in the Starting XI, the experienced Bundesliga player recently sat on the bench twice – and that with a second division team.
