Well-known YouTuber dies at the age of 31 and says goodbye with an emotional voice message

South Korea was her passion: the influencer “HojuSara” published videos about the Asian country on YouTube. She has now died of leukemia at the age of 31.
Since she was diagnosed with cancer in May, Sara Holmes has been fighting the disease – and she shared it with her online followers, always full of joie de vivre. But now the Youtuber known as “HojuSara” has lost her fight. She died of leukemia at the age of 31. Her fiancé Hyun shared this with fans in a video on her YouTube channel.
“I really never wanted to make a video like this. And I really believed that day would never come. I don’t want to cry,” he said, his voice cracking and tears in his eyes. He played a voice message on his cell phone in which the successful and popular YouTuber said goodbye: “If you hear that: I love you all. If you hear that: I’ll watch you from the sky.” She had received the news shortly before her death in the hospital.

“I wanted to make it to the end. Every time you see something beautiful, it will be me. This is not the end,” she said. “I’m still struggling. I wanted to spend more quality time with you guys, I wanted Sending you all a message, but this came quicker than expected.”
Her fiancé Hyun also found touching words to say goodbye: “She was a wonderful person. I’ve never met a better person,” the Korean praised her in the almost 48-minute video on YouTube. “Sara told me not to be sad, but how can I do that?”

South Korea was the great passion of the native Australian. Eight years ago she launched her YouTube channel, where she shared videos about the culture in the Asian country, recipes from South Korean cuisine and beauty tips. Most recently, 346,000 people followed her on the platform. Holmes traveled frequently to South Korea and moved there permanently after meeting her future fiancé.
However, the 31-year-old returned to her native Australia when her condition continued to deteriorate. She eventually died in a Brisbane hospital. Her fiancé said goodbye with the words: “Because saying goodbye is too sad, let’s say Bbyong instead” – the word means something like “going away” in Korean.
