A previously unknown man approached two boys in Weilheim and Schongau within a few days in September – pretending to be a police officer.
On Thursday afternoon, September 16, around 3:45 p.m., the man spoke to a boy in the area of the bathing path / In der Au in Weilheim, reports the Upper Bavaria South police. He pretended to be a police officer and presented a presumably forged ID card or something similar. The perpetrator then searched the boy.
A few days later, a similar incident occurred in Schongau in the area of Lechuferstraße. On Wednesday afternoon, September 22, around 3:45 p.m., the same perpetrator, the police said, spoke to another boy. In this case, too, the perpetrator pretended to be a police officer and presented a presumably forged ID card. The perpetrator gave the child five euros and offered another ten euros if the boy would come with him. The child did not respond to that.
Police ask for clues
The man is a 40-year-old Western European, according to the police. He is said to be about 1.70 meters tall and was therefore described as a rather “dingy” appearance. The stranger had short, straight brown hair and a mustache and mustache that was beginning to turn gray. In the case in Weilheim, according to the police, the man was dressed in jeans and a sports jacket (black above, white below). In Schongau, the man is said to have worn sweatpants and a hoodie. In addition, the perpetrator spoke standard German without an accent.
