This week, the unstable weather in Germany will remain due to several low pressure areas. What about the temperatures? And what special features are there in Europe?

This week the weather in this country presents itself from its changeable side. In addition to friendly moments, there are always dense clouds and rain or showers, and occasional brief thunderstorms. From Friday the sun will appear more frequently in the north and north-east and at the same time it will be mostly dry there. The sun is shining less across the country this week than the long-term average. It hardly rains in north-eastern Germany, otherwise this week will be wetter than average. In Europe there are the following weather zones: In the north, a stable high ensures a lot of sunshine, on the Iberian Peninsula it is also mostly sunny. From northwestern Europe through France and Italy to the Balkans, it remains fickle. What about the temperatures?

In Germany and in large parts of Europe, the temperature will range from 15 to 20 degrees this week, but there are also days and regions with just over 20 degrees. Only in Spain and Portugal is it very warm, sometimes exceeding 30 degrees. Since it is usually colder in northern Europe than in the middle, there are different deviations from the norm despite the similar temperatures: Our figure shows the deviation of the temperature for the next 7 days from the average of the years 1981 to 2010. What we do in Germany experience pretty much sums up the mean. The north of Germany is a little warmer than average, the south a little cooler. In northern Europe it is often 5 degrees warmer than usual in mid-May. It remains relatively cool from France to the Balkans to western Russia.
