Enjoy the sun’s rays and the warmth once again: the early summer interlude is coming to an end soon. There is even talk of night frost again.

This Sunday there will be large parts Germany is once again spoiled with warmth and sunshine. Especially in the southeast half, apart from a few veiled clouds and slight cloudiness due to Saharan dust, it is often sunny, dry and hot up to 30 degrees, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced.

Even at the beginning of the week, the unusually warm weather is still continuing. According to the forecast, isolated, sometimes strong showers and thunderstorms will develop from the west over the course of Monday. These occur sporadically in the east and south, but apart from that it often remains clear and very warm over the mountains.

The early summer guest performance in Germany will end on Tuesday. According to the DWD, heavy rain will fall in the western half in the morning, which may be accompanied by lightning and thunder. From the North Sea to the Allgäu and west of there, temperatures no longer reach 20 degrees.

It cools down towards the end of the week

In the east, however, the temperatures are again at a similarly high level as on the previous days. A few strong showers and thunderstorms are possible there from the afternoon onwards. Local storms cannot be completely ruled out.

On Wednesday it will also cool down in the eastern half. The temperatures only reach a maximum of 12 to 17 degrees. On Thursday night, if the weather clears up for a longer period of time in the southern half, there will even be light frost near the ground in some areas. “Then after the early summer interlude, it’s time to scratch the car again in the morning, at least in some places,” said DWD meteorologist Nico Bauer.
