It’s getting stormy again on the North Sea coast. The Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency warns of another storm surge – Hamburg is particularly affected.
There are warnings of another storm surge for the North Sea coast this morning. These are mainly affected Hamburg, the Hamburg Weser area and the Elbe area, as the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) announced. The police warned the population to avoid the affected areas and to keep themselves informed regularly.
In the Weser and Elbe areas, the water is said to be around 1.50 meters higher than the average flood. This could, for example, in Hamburg-St. Pauli and in Bremen-Oslebshausen. The flood flooded the Hamburg fish market on Monday. According to the police, there were no major operations caused by the storm surge.
