Spring started this week with mild temperatures and some sunshine – but that According to the German Weather Service (DWD) forecast, the weekend will be dominated by rain and wind.

It will be extremely changeable, explained DWD meteorologist Tanja Sauter in Offenbach: “Many showers, accompanied by gusts of wind or individual stormy gusts, are moving across the country.” In the mountains it could even snow in some places.

According to the forecast, the maximum values ​​will rise again to 14 to 16 degrees on Saturday, and on Sunday it will only be 6 to 11 degrees. In the mountains, temperatures drop even further. “All in all, a weekend to make yourself comfortable at home,” recommends the meteorologist.

Beforehand, you should spend a lot of time outdoors. This Friday, this applies especially to the southern half of Germany, Sauer explained: “The sun shines from the sky for a long time and the temperature values ​​rise to 15 to 20 degrees, on the Upper Rhine to up to 21 degrees.” The north, on the other hand, has to prepare for overcast skies and rainy weather. According to the forecast, it will remain at 10 to 14 degrees.
