Weather: rainy deterioration, thunderstorms, slightly lower temperatures… the forecast for April 22

This Saturday, April 22, 2023 and like every morning, Midi Libre takes stock of the weather forecasts in France and in the region.

The rainy and stormy degradation that began the night before, spread to the whole country on this first day of the weekend. In the morning, under a cloudy sky, there are rains or showers which extend from Brittany to Ile de France and to the Pyrenees with a risk of thunderstorm marked from Poitou-Charentes to the Centre.

From Hauts-de-France to Champagne-Ardennes, the weather is calmer but the morning mists are very present. The afternoon, this rainy band shifts from Occitania to the eastern borders.

Rainfall degradations

A disturbance will indeed cross the Occitanie region this Saturday, April 22. The rainy passage is expected in the second part of the day. The whole region will be swept away by a rain front. The departments of Haute-Garonne, Ariège, Tarn, Aveyron, Aude, Pyrénées-Orientales, Gard and Lozère will be concerned.

The disturbance will progress between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. surroundings from west to east. It will affect the Hérault and the Gard at the end of the evening, rather between 10 p.m. and 12 a.m. around. Concerning the accumulations of rain, it is generally necessary to expect 5 to 10mm in the above departments. Occasionally, up to 15 mm are possible rather on the west of Languedoc.

The Gard a little spared

The department of Gard will be the department least watered. Some lightning strikes may be heard. This risk is especially present between Ariège, Aude and Tarn. Return of dry weather during the following night.

Sunday, at the end of the day, a new disturbance will also sweep the region.

Falling temperatures

Minimum temperatures remain a little cooler than the day before. They show 8 to 12°C in the morning, and up to 14°C in Languedoc-Roussillon in the afternoon. It is around Perpignan that they will be the highest with almost 20°C.

Conversely, the lowest temperatures will be recorded around Mende, Cahors and Tarbes with an average around 14°C.
