The street carnival reaches its climax with the Rose Monday parades. While the fools had to struggle with constant rain on Weiberfastnacht, the weather prospects for Monday are at least a little better: large amounts of rain are not expected, said the German Weather Service (DWD). According to DWD information, there will be gaps in the clouds with a few rays of sunshine in some places. Nevertheless, showers continued to sweep across the country. It will be mild at 7 to 11 degrees, only in the northeast it will remain a little cooler. On Violet Tuesday, the influence of high pressure increases with larger gaps in clouds and more sunshine. Light showers are rare with mild temperatures.

On Ash Wednesday, a low will make itself felt over the North Sea. A warm front is crossing Germany towards the east with rain. In the west the temperatures rise to 10 to 15 degrees, in the east they reach 6 to 10 degrees. Thursday will be even milder in the Republic with temperatures of 10 to 17 degrees. “Winter is getting a long way off,” explains Markus Böse from the DWD.
