Just in time for the end of the meteorological winter, the sun can be seen again. Thanks to Hoch “Kai”, the cloud cover is tearing up in many places in Germany. And the nice weather is supposed to last for a few days.

No more gray and rain. At the weekend, Hoch “Kai” is finally sending sunshine to Germany again. Although the temperatures are not yet spring-like, thanks to the sun it is at least dry in many places.

According to the forecast of the German Weather Service (DWD), however, the southeast cannot benefit from this. The clouds remain there, and it is still snowing a little, especially in the Alps and in the eastern low mountain ranges. The maximum temperatures are between two degrees in the Alps and up to ten degrees in northern Germany. Permafrost prevails at some high altitudes.

Temperatures up to 13 degrees

During the night it is frosty almost everywhere. The DWD warns that slippery weather due to freezing residual wetness or slight snowfall must be expected.

Sunday will bring a lot of sun at four to eleven degrees and only a few clouds after local fog fields have cleared. There will be a weak to moderate east to south-east wind, sometimes with strong gusts at higher altitudes, and occasional gusts of wind at high altitudes in the Black Forest.

On Monday, too, it will remain sunny and dry after local fog areas have cleared up quickly. The maximum temperatures are between four degrees in parts of Saxony and up to 13 degrees in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Nice weather stays until at least Tuesday

The sunny weather is expected to last until at least Tuesday. However, since Hoch “Kai” is only passing through Central Europe and is slowly shifting in the direction of Eastern and Northeastern Europe, its influence gradually decreases as of the new week. And then thick rain clouds could come up again.
