Central Germany can be happy. In the north in particular, however, the days of late summer sunshine are over. South of the Danube it will also remain foggy and cloudy for a long time.

The Golden October is running out of steam in large parts of Germany towards the weekend. Because especially in the north, according to the German Weather Service (DWD), dense clouds clouded the late summer sunny days on Sunday.

It will also become significantly cloudier on the Danube and Lake Constance: Fog and high fog will persist there for the next few days. Only in the middle does it remain pleasantly mild at 15 to 20 degrees and lots of sun.

“It will be quite similar in the new week,” said a DWD meteorologist on Friday in Offenbach. Accordingly, according to the DWD, it is mostly cloudy in the northwest on Monday, with a few raindrops during the day. South of the Danube it will remain foggy and cloudy for a longer period of time. In between, it will be mostly clear and sunny after the fog has cleared. The maximum temperatures range between 15 and a pleasant 20 degrees.
