This weekend many people probably enjoyed the good summer weather at the lake or at the barbecue. In view of the new week, this is a good decision.

Showers, partly heavy Thunderstorms and lots of wind will follow what is still mid-summer warmth in Germany in the coming days.

As the German Weather Service reports, thunderstorms can be expected on Monday night, which can also be accompanied by heavy rain and hail. Widespread showers and thunderstorms will also dominate the weather on Monday, and the risk of storms with heavy rain and hail is increasing. Storm gusts are also possible locally. Only in the east and northeast are the thunderstorms likely to arrive during Monday evening. The maximum values reach another 30 degrees in the east and up to 25 degrees in the west of Germany.

On Tuesday night, a cold front will bring significantly cooler air to Germany. The daily highs are then expected to reach 23 degrees. As the day progresses, a few showers and isolated thunderstorms will form again in the northwest, and the wind will also pick up increasingly. There are likely to be strong gusts in the northern half and stormy gusts in the north. Gusts of wind are also possible on the North Sea.

Wednesday will remain changeable in the north and northwest, while the sun will appear more and more in the south. Temperatures reach up to 26 degrees in the south and east during the day. The wind remains brisk, especially in the northern half, with squalls on the North Sea coast.
