The new week brings some cooling and in some regions also wet weather to Germany. “The high-pressure bridge, which extends from Scandinavia to the Mediterranean region, is increasingly weakening. The foothills of a low over the North Atlantic are approaching from the northwest,” said meteorologist Jacqueline Kernn from the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach. These would bring increasingly humid and also cooler air in the new week. “There are showers and isolated thunderstorms, especially in the north and east,” said the expert. “To the south and west, the rainfall is limited, sometimes it stays completely dry.”

The forecasts in detail: On Monday there will be heavy cloud cover in the northern half from west to east. There is also rain, which is sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms. According to the weather service, these can be severe in the east. Later it will be clear again in the West. The maximum values reach 28 to 33 degrees in the southeast half, otherwise 23 to 28 degrees. At the North Sea it stays fresher at 20 degrees.

According to the DWD, it will be cloudy in the north and east on Tuesday and showers and local short thunderstorms are expected. The sun shines more frequently in the southwest and south and it mostly stays dry. Only south of the Danube there could be individual showers or thunderstorms. The temperatures are going down a bit and only reach maximum values of 22 to 26 degrees, around 20 degrees are expected at the sea. In addition, mostly moderate, in the north and north-east partly fresh, at times strong gusty winds from west to north-west will blow. Stormy gusts are expected in thunderstorms on the Baltic Sea.

On Wednesday the sky will be variable, partly cloudy. While there may be some rain in the north-east, west and north-west, the sun appears more frequently in the south. According to the forecasts, the maximum values are between 22 and 24 degrees, in the south and southwest 23 to 27 degrees can also be reached. A light wind blows from different directions.
