A storm is moving from the south of England to the Danish coast. According to the German Weather Service, hurricane-like gusts can also occur in northern Germany.

The German Weather Service (DWD) has forecast hurricanes for the north of Germany overnight Gusts, sometimes also warned of extreme hurricane gusts. On the North Sea and in the north of Schleswig-Holstein, meteorologists are expecting hurricane gusts of up to 120 kilometers per hour, as the DWD announced. On the North Sea coast and on the islands, wind speeds of 150 kilometers per hour could temporarily be reached at night – that corresponds to an extreme hurricane. Hurricane-like gusts are also expected on exposed summit locations, including up to 150 kilometers per hour on the Brocken.

It was said that the storm was moving from southern England to the Danish coast. It was said that the first stormy gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour could also occur in lower altitudes in the western half of Germany from this evening onwards. In the west and northwest, individual short thunderstorms combined with severe squalls or hurricane-like gusts are possible.
