Situation
After an exceptionally hot weekend, the weather changes radically this Monday. Indeed, a depression, named Renata, is deepening off the coast of Scotland this Sunday evening and plunging towards the Benelux on Monday, boosted by a powerful jet stream at nearly 300 km/h which passes just above the northern regions. of the Seine.
In this context, a very active disturbance is sweeping the regions extending from the Normandy coasts and Hauts-de-France to the Grand Est. As it passes between Monday 9 a.m. and Monday 9 p.m., it causes heavy, occasionally stormy showers accompanied by a risk of hail, but above all a brief and powerful windy spell.
Gusts reach 100 to 110 km/h in Hauts-de-France as well as on the Normandy coasts. In the north of the Paris basin and the Grand-Est, gusts can reach 80 to 90 km/h, up to 100 km/h on the Champagne and Lorraine plateaus, as well as on the Vosges massif.
Observation
This Monday
At 8 o’clock, the wind is slowly strengthening over Pas-de-Calais with gusts of 70 km/h in Boulogne and up to 80 km/h in Cap-Gris-Nez.

Between 2 and 5 p.m.the disturbance concerns the north of the Paris region up to the Ardennes with gusts of 70 to 90 km/h, up to 100 km/h from Picardy to the Ardennes.
Between 5 and 9 p.m., this active cold front slides towards Champagne, northern Lorraine then the Vosges, giving gusts of 80 to 90 km/h occasionally. The wind is still blowing strongly towards the Picardy coast at 100 km/h as well as the Vosges.
From 9 p.m. and the evacuation of the cold front, the wind quickly weakens and this special release will be lifted.
