Difficult to see clearly in the middle of all these instructions! In force since December 31, the obligation to wear the mask outdoors in Loire-Atlantique was suspended on Friday by the Nantes administrative court, seized urgently. This Monday, the prefecture published a new text with new rules, applicable from Tuesday morning and until February 25.
This new decree asks people over 11 to cover their nose and mouth outdoors, but not everywhere or all the time.
Where should the mask be put?
Concretely, no need to go out masked when you are alone in a deserted street. On the other hand, it will have to be worn in markets, flea markets, garage sales, but also in all gatherings, demonstrations, meetings or activities bringing together
ten or more people organized on the public highway, indicates the prefecture.
It is also placed in places waiting for public transport, near train stations and shopping center entrances, but also near schools or universities, places of worship, in the queues that form in public spaces and finally in pedestrian areas with high commercial density.
A similar order was taken in Paris, after the initial text had also been suspended by the courts.
