Film star Alain Delon (“The Ice Cold Angel”) is rich, famous – and known to be a gun nut. The amount of shooting iron that the now 88-year-old had hoarded on his property in Douchy-Montcorbon, about 140 kilometers southeast of Paris, was not quite as well known: 72 firearms and around 3,000 rounds of ammunition. The French judiciary has now started an investigation against the elderly man, who has his own shooting range but does not have a firearms license. Delon is seriously ill after several strokes and has been assigned a carer. It is not known how the film star recorded the search of his house. But it leads to the question of how we normal people would cope with a house search. What would the investigators find in our home? Thesis: rather unspectacular.
