“We were confident of the quality of our album”, Sofiane Pamart and YG Pablo, new French rap duo

A fan crowd for Sofiane Pamart then surprise. The pianist played his flagship titles at the Solidays on Friday at the ParisLongchamp racecourse. And welcomed on stage YG Pablo. The rapper joined him to sing AVM and other unreleased sounds from their joint album Diamond Tears.

A project of sixteen titles therefore, mixing the softness and the melodies of Sofiane Pamart with the pen and the melancholy voice of YG Pablo. For the two artists, this project is “elegant and hip-hop”, but above all tells about their lives: ” Diamond Tears, it’s the dreams we have in common. Having access to things you didn’t have before. But it is also to realize that these lives of which we dreamed require sacrifices and tears”, specifies the pianist.

An album in less than a week

In this album, the two artists seem to know each other by heart and complement each other perfectly, yet their collaboration is very recent. They bonded through social media to work together. “Nothing was planned, we had to see each other to make a piece”, specifies YG Pablo.

A decisive meeting for the two artists. The association is a success and neither of them wants to stop the magic of the moment. “We did the first track in twenty minutes. Then we did four more. In the end, he came back every morning for six days and we did twenty songs,” says Sofiane Pamart.

“Josman does not foresee what will happen to the studio”

Sixteen titles are kept for Diamond Tears. A soft and melodious project which lets understand that nobody could better complete the duet of artists. No one except Josman, the only guest artist on the album. “I knew it would work well humanly between the two. Josman doesn’t foresee what will happen to the studio either,” says Sofiane Pamart.

Together they produce 10:22 p.m., already one of the hits of the album. And again, it’s a story of coincidence. “We made an excellent first title, but we wanted to do it again at the time. It was 10:22 p.m. and that was the trigger. In the end, we only kept this one,” explains the pianist.

If the project is available since Friday, the two artists have never been worried about the reception of the public. The first collaborations on titles backpack world Or Magic had rained a lot. For the album, “I knew that what we had done was good”, assures YG Pablo. “We were confident of the quality of the album and we didn’t hesitate on any track”, continues Sofiane Pamart. Friday, at the Solidays, the public seemed conquered by the performance and “the magic” of the duo.
