We tell you why some lucky guys were able to ski for free this weekend at Superbagnères

Good snow and another excellent news for snow sports enthusiasts. This weekend, the Pyrenean resort of Luchon-Superbagnères, in Haute-Garonne, was faced with a technical problem in its ticketing computer system. The service provider’s server shut down twice, Saturday morning, then Sunday at a busy time.

Rather than creating a big traffic jam at the ski lifts and exposing itself to the discontent of skiers, the resort made the wise decision to open access to everyone, including those who were not equipped with tickets. “We decided to let people pass who didn’t have one, because the customers had nothing to do with it,” a station manager confided to France 3 Occitanie.

It’s hard to say how many lucky people took advantage of the bargain and were happy not to have been forward-thinking when ordering their packages in advance so as not to queue.

The Pyrenean resort, which currently benefits from good snow cover, receives an average of 5,000 visitors during long winter days.
